At the top of Flakstadsøya a promontory shoots out to the north, and on its west side I captured these images. The first just after we had turned off the main artery in Lofoten, the E10,. The sun didn’t really pop out that day, but in the morning it lit up the clouds and the pink and purple colours of the sky are reflected in the sea. And the stones and rock pools in the foreground created a nice composition.
An hour later I got the image below looking towards Flakstad.
In the afternoon we were back and had turned around the western corner and were looking north towards the settlement of Vikten with what must be the northernmost glass blower in the world situated in a lovely built hut. But when we were there a storm was blowing and I hulked down to cover myself and captured one image of Vikten with a typical red cottage in the foreground and the towering mountain behind the little settlement.
