Cappadocia landscapes

Swords’ Valley just after sunrise. You can see the sun is still low by the long shadows cast by the towering mountains

My final post from Cappadocia is from Swords’ Valley. I went out one morning as the sun was rising. I was accompanied by a local guide, but there were no possibilities of getting lost in this landscape. However, she fitted in fine in an image leading our eyes into one of the impressive rock formations.

Jennifer and I had been here in the afternoon catching the horses running in the valley. Now I was walking in the early morning focusing on the stone formations – a little bit chilly but the blue sky promised another warm day ahead.

Notice the morning balloons gliding along the valley in the light morning breeze
