Anstruther & Cellardyke

Anstruther harbour. The award-winning Fish & Chips shop can be envisaged in the background through the masts of all the sailing yachts

Anstruther, further east from Pittenweem (my previous post) was founded as a fishing village, but now tourism is now the main industry. Several nice restaurants including a fish and chips place that twice has won the prize as the best fish and chips shop in Great Britain are near the harbour. Of course we had to visit the Fish and Chips-shop that also was quite a nice restaurant one evening in between trying to capture the sunset.

Connected to Anstruther is Cellardyke, where our host were living. Nowadays the two villages look and feel like one joint settlement.
