Christmas lunch for the elderly. This is the dining room, but we occupied all possible tables in the house.
And here we are in the breakfast room
And the barn/cinema room has been converted into another dining room with another three tables.
Our eldest guest, Winifred, was 103 years old
Robin from the Rusty Pig did the cooking with great results
...while "his ladies" helped preparing and serving
The guests are waiting for the lunch to be served while Jennifer and our vicar, Steve, are overseeing everything in the background
On boxing day the family got a visitor, Runo Ravander from Sidmouth. Runo was happily chatting to ...
...Claudia and Magnus and their dog Katie
...but then the two of them got too occupied with each other...
...so Runo switched to Riza instead

These are a series of family photos from October 2014 to Christmas. The first is from an assembly at St. John, Eric’s school, when Eric got three different awards. The next is a series of portraits of Eric and Mikee and Riza after they went to their friend, Lei’s party. Mikee has really grown up a lot.
Then we have St. John’s nativity play in December, where Eric performed together with his classmates. And we are coming closer to Christmas with the parish choir coming home to Knightstone to sing Christmas songs. We had around 60 guests listening to the choir and the children also played different instruments and sang solo songs.
Just before Christmas (Sunday before Christmas) we invited some of the elderly from the town to have a pre-Christmas lunch with us at Knightstone. We had around 50 guests of which the eldest, Winifred, was a lady of 103 years. Winifred lives at the Priory in Ottery St. Mary. She is unfortunately poorly just now and we pray for her.
I didn’t have any pictures from Christmas Day but on Boxing Day we invited our friend Runo Ravander. Runo lives in Sidmouth and we have met him through the Swedish Church. He is originally Swedish but has lived an exciting life all over the world first as a helicopter pilot and then managing helicopter companies in Africa, India, Australia and South America. He damaged his left arm in military service in Sweden and had to develop a special device to manoeuver the helicopters with just one arm. When Edmund Hilary tried to reach Mount Everest the first time he had to be picked up by Runo, as they didn’t have any oxygen. They had to land so they could skid downhill, when they started the helicopter again, as the air was too thin for a normal take-off!
