Avanos is a small town in Cappadocia full of pottery makers. I was cought up in one of them because of the beautiful light the came in through the opening lighting up the smoke from the kiln as well as the pottery maker and his urns.
My second set of photos are of a potter that wasn’t quite as advanced, but for reasons that are quite obvious I lingered as long time photographing her as the potter in the previous pottery. Jennifer got instructions from a professional, who obviously enjoyed teaching her the intricacies of his craft.
