Bell Tor

Climbing up towards Bell Tor

Bell Tor is another in a long row of tors on the ridge to the east of East Webburn River. Further down and to the south is Bonehill Rocks that I posted a story about a week ago.To the north is Chinkwell Tor and Honeybag Tor. And on the other side of East Webburn is Widecombe-in-the-Moor.

The tor is easily accessible with nice views both to the east and west. To the east the twin bosses of Haytor is unmistakable and to the southwest the spire of the “Cathedral on the Moor’, St Pancras’ Church in Widecombe-in-the-Moor, stands out.
