In September 2010 the family paid two visits to Southern France. First Mikee and I went together for the Christening of Marie. Marie is a sister ship of Adèle with an identical hull but black instead of Adèle’s white hull. Her interior is also very similar. They were both designed by André Hoek, built by Vitters and the owner’s representative was Nigel Ingram, just as with Adèle.
We had the Christening one day in the beginning of September and the following day we were invited on a sailing trip along the coast. And in between Mikee and I had time for some fun together.
And then the whole family came back in the later part of September for the Monaco Boat Show. We stayed at Èze and visited Roger and June Lean-Vercoe afterwards. Roger and I are both active as judges at the World Superyacht Awards and Roger had been chairman for a long period. At the time they lived in Devon and we have visited each other locally many times as well as being together at many yacht visits.
At the Yacht Show we visited André Hoek and was on board Lionheart, a beautiful J-class yacht that André created.
Marie. She has the same hull as Adele's but is black and with black masts

Mikee was popular with everyone.
The owners of Marie brought their own band. I realised something had been missing on Adèle!
The cockpit was filled with lovely jazzz music
