In summer we always give a summer party coinciding with Eric’s birthday. For this year’s party we had glorious weather. Magnus, Claudia and Cat came down from London and so did Camilla, Eric’s godmother. And Elvire, Mikee’s classmate from St. John’s, joined us for the weekend. Elvire was a boarder at St. John’s but has now gone back to France, her home country.
This small group met up on Friday evening and on sunny Saturday at lunch time the guests – more than 100 of them – arrived for the party. We had an assault course, an ice cream van, a magician and Robin from the Rusty Pig provided the tasty lunch.
In the evening we played games and the next day we had lunch at the Golden Lion Inn at Tipton St John.
