My main computer crashed just after Christmas, and I haven’t been able to publish any photos on my website. But I have taken the step of switching from a PC to a Mac, and will tell you more about my experiences with the Apple key instead of the Windows key, as soon as I got it delivered. I am writing this to excuse myself for publishing a blog without a single photo.
When I wrote the last blog about your generous contribution to Barcelona after the typhoon damage, I thought that was the end of it. But we have received gifts from a couple of you after the events to the extent of £ 300 and then the collection from the church at Ottery St Mary turned out to be £ 356.50 instead of the £ 268 I reported at my previous blog. So all in all we have received a further £ 388.50, and as Jennifer and I have promised to match that, we have today sent off another £ 777 to Barcelona.
All in all, we have been able to contribute £ 3,237 for relief after the typhoon for Barcelona
End of next week Eric, Jennifer and I are travelling to the Philippines (Mikee needs to remain in school here in England) and we hope we will be able to report back to you what Luz (Jennifer’s mother) and her colleagues have used the money for. Meanwhile we all thank you for your generosity and your warm thoughts and understanding of the difficulties that this little village has faced. Luz sends her greetings and warm thanks as well.
