Haukland beach on Vestvågøya around sunrise. The sun is colouring the clouds in pink and purple and the light in the sky is reflected in the water below. Hauklandstranda is open to the west and the camera is looking south towards the rising sun (which never appeared, when we were there).
The first image shows the little stream that empties into Hauklandstranda. Its meandering pattern caught my eye in the morning. The second image is taken 40 minutes later down at the beach itself, but in the same direction as you can see from the mountain background. And the final image is looking more west. It is the changing light on the clouds that makes the drama in these images on a calm (but cold) morning.
