Maervoll is a small village or collection of houses along a hidden valley and fjord on Vestvågøy. Jennifer and I discovered it by coincidence on our way to the more famous beach of Unstad. As I had set up my tripod and was ready to catch a photo a car stopped and asked us about our photography. And then he invited us to visit his village along the fjord. he lived in a house half a kilometre further out towards the open sea. So we followed his advice and explored the fjord and the “hidden” settlement.
