We spent many summers at Marstrand, where I had been as a young boy and where we christened Adèle. Beautiful skerries and walks, some great restaurants and lots of friends visiting us. And the children were safe as no normal cars are allowed on the island. During one of the weeks we borrowed a little motor boat and went out in the archipelago.
See the beauty of the islands and how much fun our kids had!

- We have often returned to this famous summer paradise. At "Johan's Krog" we had many of our best meals.
- Marstrand is a proper town, with cobblestone streets but no cars are allowed.
- Marstrand with its well protected harbour can be approached from two directions, ideal for old time sailing vessels. Here I have spent many summers as a child and my family returned again most years.
- Marstrand was a trading centre and belonged originally to Denmark & Norway. It was a "free port" meaning that you didn't pay any customs duties here, so trade flourished
- Marstrands greatest period was probably when King Oscar II visited Marstrand a century ago.
