Samburu Fly-camping

Drinks before dinner after a lovely day in Samburu. We are camping in a dried up riverbed

The last night in Samburu we left the Sarara Camp and set up a fly camp in the wilderness. But as everything in an African safari, it was done in great style and very enjoyable to be staying in the wilderness just the three of us and a few staff. But before the fly-camp was set up we started the morning by a walking safari and spotted a few giraffes.

On our walking safari with Anne, our guide, and a guard
The landscape was beautiful and here and there we spotted a giraffe
This image was captured in the evening on our way to the fly camp
Anne spotted a lot of wild life and was great company
After dinner we enjoyed the fire again
The next morning just around sunrise we had a troop of baboons crossing the river bed, where we camped
One of the baboons trying to catch up with his troop
The morning sun shining on the mountains and tree tops and had just reached the river bed
One of our tents threw a long shadow along the sand
We drove directly to the little airplane that would take us to Masai Mara and the next adventure. Here we are saying our good-byes to Daniel and Anne
