Skaland

Skaland’s little harbour with the village in the background

Skaland is a little fishing village with a small harbour, now mainly used by pleasure craft in summer time. The granite piers covered by newly fallen snow was so attractive that we came back several times. Skaland is situated at the northern side of Nordfjorden on Senja. The inner part of Nordfjorden becomes Bergsbotn, from where I had captured several images before, including some special sunrise images.

Looking back east into Nordfjorden and further away is Bergsbotn from the granite pier at Skaland harbour
And yet another image of the harbour and the mountains on the other side of Nordfjord
