St Primoz & Felicijan

The Church of St Primoz & Felicijan set among the Julian Alps

The Church of St Primoz & Felicijan is a beautiful church set in a stunning location northwest of the capital, Ljubljana, in Slovenia. It was built in the 15th C along the ridge of a series of hills and overlooking stunning valleys and mountains. According to legend, it was built where two local saints were martyred.

We were driving up the steep hills in the Julian Alps, when we got the first glimpse of the church in the late afternoon sun.

Late in the afternoon I took a walk along the ridge towards the church and further on to catch the mountain views from the church itself. Coming back we waited until the sun had set and the church was lit up before we left for dinner at Lake Bled.

I walked along a little hamlet, where everyone greeted me with great smiles and waves, but none could speak any English or German and my Slovenian was non-existent.

    1. Thanks Mose,

The more work I have to do in my biotech businesses, the more inspiration I feel in my creative work that is so far away from my business side. And I appreciate that some of you are enjoying it!
