A few days after Christmas, in the beginning of January, the snow came covering Knightstone with its white powder. Everything became white and the bare tree trunks stood out dark against the white snow . Nallah wasn’t so happy but our Newfoundlands loved it and even Eric was charmed. Eric turned two in the summer and he had now become a very interesting character with a great sense of humour.
In May Mikee came back to us to go to school, and she has lived with us ever since. We didn’t realise then what an important event it was. To sort out the legal papers to get her to come and study in England was an ordeal and took long time. It was stressful for us and Mikee was old enough to realise the importance of the events that took place.
We had friends visiting like Sheba and George from Germany and Siggi and Catharina from Austria. And both couples brought their children.
And the Swedish Church came for a service at Ottery St Mary church in what has since become a tradition repeated nearly every year. And after the service we had lunch in the garden of Knightstone Manor. Michael held the Service and Camilla used the opportunity to spent most of her time with her Godson, Eric!
